Seit Jahren zieht es mich regelmäßig nach London – immer mit der Kamera im Gepäck und einem offenen Blick für das Unerwartete. In Vierteln wie Brick Lane, Shoreditch, Camden oder im Leake Street Tunnel begegnet mir Street Art in allen Formen: bunt, kritisch, verspielt, provokant. Manche Werke sind legal, andere entstanden im Schutz der Dunkelheit – jedes erzählt seine eigene Geschichte.
Street Art ist für mich kein bloßes Stadtbild-Accessoire. Sie ist ein Spiegel urbaner Kultur, politischer Botschaften und künstlerischer Freiheit. Das Aufspüren dieser Kunst gleicht einer Schatzsuche – mit Momenten des Staunens, der Reflexion und der puren Entdeckerfreude.
Diese Seite zeigt eine subjektive Auswahl von Werken und Künstler*innen, die mir seit 2017 in London begegnet sind. Sie erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit, sondern dokumentiert, was mir in den Straßen der Stadt vor die Linse kam – mal monumental, mal versteckt. Einige Motive waren 2021 Teil meiner Ausstellung in der Stadtbibliothek Wetzlar – mein Dank gilt nochmals der Stadt für diese Möglichkeit!

I’ve been traveling to London for years – always with my camera and a keen eye for the unexpected. In neighborhoods like Brick Lane, Shoreditch, Camden, or the Leake Street Tunnel, I come across street art in all shapes and colors: bold, political, playful, provocative. Some pieces are created legally, others in secret – each one tells its own story.
To me, street art is more than just urban decoration. It’s a reflection of culture, resistance and creativity. Discovering it is like a treasure hunt – full of moments that surprise, move, and make you think.
